The Tri-County Regional Greenways and Trails Task Force is a local group comprised of representatives from park districts, municipal officials and planners, hiking, biking and canoeing clubs, Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Illinois Department of Transportation planners, as well as other interested individuals.
The Task Force is a leader in greenways and trails planning and implementation in the region. At their meetings, Task Force members discuss the status of trails in the area, statewide funding and opportunities and legislation that affects greenways and trails.
The Task Force meets quarterly, usually on the third Tuesday of the month at the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission Conference Room - Downtown Peoria. Meetings start at 2:00 PM and are open to the public.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM. (This meeting is on the fourth Tuesday of September due to New Year's.)
