TCRPC has partnered with the City of East Peoria, the Village of Morton, Tazewell County, Native American Fellowship Daysprings Church and the Natural Resources and Your Development Task Force to secure $300,000 from the USDA Forestry Service to assist landowners in the Farm Creek Watershed with forest management.
This project aims to stabilize steep, eroding slopes by thinning invasive trees and shrubs and allowing native grasses and wildflowers to grow in forested areas. Project partners will create a forest management demonstration site at the Daysprings Church.
