Tri-County Regional Planning Commission

A new regional plan will address numerous ways that land use, transportation, and the ecosystem affect each other.  Your input will help.

Many plans discuss transportation, the environment, or land use, but few plans adequately deal with the relationships among these major topics.  Land use affects the environment when locations are selected for future buildings that may cause more soil erosion.  Transportation affects land use when new businesses spring up along populated roadways.  This plan, named the Regional Transportation, Land Use, & Ecosystem Integration Plan, will ensure that these impacts are thoughtful and purposeful for our growing economy and continued quality of life.

This plan is being developed with assistance from local residents.  If the committee and support staff receive more input, the the plan will better reflect the goals of people who live and work in Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties.  To give your opinion, please click here to complete our Tri-County Survey.
